Sarah+James=Genuine

Genuine. That is the word that comes to me when I think of Sarah and James. The way the listen to each other. The way they look at each other. The real and deep connection that comes from years of truly knowing & understanding each other.

Their day started with a First Look on the beach pier. The handsome James waited patiently to see Sarah & give her her bouquet.

I always love these moments between about-to-be-husband and about-to-be-wife.

We got to hang with the always-awesome-photog Tim who grabbed this shot of me playing it safe balancing on a log...

..while I was shooting my fav image of the day:

Sarah - what a natural beauty! She and James love the outdoors, so we headed into the forest for some portraits among the ferns and trees.

Then it was off to Hart House for the ceremony. Sarah and James shared a happy look of anticipation as they walked down the aisle together.

Why doesn't everyone have their ceremony at sunset? So soft & pretty. Love this image from Tim.

They each wrote and read their own vows - which were filled with tender thoughts & laughter. This image just makes me smile.

It's official - husband & wife!

A romantic first dance.

And lots more dancing & fun late into the night!

Congratulations Sarah & James!

Lindsay+Larry=Drama!

Lindsay and Larry have such a romantic story! They fell in love on the stage while performing the Gilbert & Sullivan comic opera The Mikado! Their wedding was all about their passion for singing and for each other and their day was full of dramatic moments.

My favourite detail ever - gold Manolo Blahniks - divine!

The beautiful Lindsay gets ready.

The couple had their ceremony at St. Andrews Wesley in downtown Vancouver - such a beautiful church. Love this tilt-shift image our main man TimCo got from the balcony.

Lindsay gets a little teary-eyed after making it official.

Love the joy in their faces as they walk down the aisle - husband and wife!

A little rain? No matter!

NYC photog & friend Jason Groupp got this pic of me looking really dorky :) And that's our super-assistant Garrett behind me keeping things organized. We had a super-fun crew with J & Tim, and my sister Laura Ann doing videography too. Thanks guys!

The wedding party strikes a pose.

A few quiet moments between the couple as they wait to make their grand entrance into the Hotel Vancouver ballroom.

Coordinator extraordinaire Geneve from DreamGroup told me the room would look gorgeous - she was right!

Yummiliciousness by Sweet Thea Cake Co

The happy couple!

An emotional moment when Larry's daughter sang to the newly-weds.

Lots of opera singing!

Including a grooving performance by former Temptation Riley Inge.

My favourite moment from the night was when Lindsay took center stage to sing to her new husband. He joined her and the happy couple sang a duet together before their first dance.

Congratulations, Larry + Lindsay!

C+L Fab Five: Ramona

We were so honoured when fellow photographer Ramona asked us to do a maternity session with her. We wanted to do something a little different and it ended up being a whole lot of fun. Here's our fav five - she's one hot mama!

Annie+Paulo=Happy!

An afternoon of smiles and laughter and super-happilicious images of the delightful Annie + Paulo.

These two so clearly love being in each other's company. And they are on a determined life pursuit of happiness and fun and living-in-the-moment together, a quest that just happens to require glamourous trips to NYC, dining at Vancouver's finest, and lots and lots of shoe shopping (oh yeah, and some regular trips to Beard Pappa's!)!

Here are some of our favs from their e-session. Blue-jean fun on Granville Island.

Annie has the best laugh!

Had to go on a ride on the Little Blue Ferry (the place where Paulo first whispered to Annie "I love you."!).

Nothing wrong with a classic portrait of two gorgeous people happy & in love.

THIS was soooo much fun (and it's making me hungry!). Yay for Beard Papa's!

And nothing wrong with a not-so-classic portrait of two gorgeous people happy and in love! I love this image.

A beautiful moon-lit night.

Congratulations Annie + Paulo! We had the best time with you both & can't wait for your wedding this fall!
